Hands on History

Want to sit in a tank or a jet fighter? Hold a bazooka, musket or machine gun? Hands on History is your chance! Get up close and personal with some of the most famous weapons and vehicles of U.S. military history by interacting with the knowledgeable members of the museum’s living history detachment!  Climb in a Sherman Tank or Hetzer tank destroyer, a German and American WWII halftrack, a Korean War F84 Fighter-Bomber, an OH-23 Helicopter or a Vietnam War M113 Armored Personnel Carrier.  Early bird admission available from 5:15 to 6 pm (Ages 14 & up: $5, 13 and below $1) for those who want to avoid long lines to get in vehicles. Otherwise, the event is free! Water, concessions, and souvenirs concessions will be available.  Event is indoors and will happen rain or shine.
