Gathering of WWII Vets

GATHERING OF WWII HEROES SPECIAL EVENT at the Texas Military Forces Museum on Sunday September 20 at 11 a.m. In conjunction with Patrick Reed’s “The War Remembered” oral history project the museum will be hosting eight or more WWII veterans during Austin Museum Day. They will take part in a panel discussion at 11 a.m. and after a short lunch break be on hand to meet visitors and tell their stories. The museum’s living history detachment will be on hand to let these heroes see WWII weapons and give them a ride in a WWII jeep. Come out and help us say THANK YOU to these great Americans!
