Want to sit in a tank or a jet fighter?  Hold a bazooka, musket or machine gun?  Hands on History is your chance!  Get up close and personal with some of the most famous weapons and vehicles of U.S. military history by interacting with the knowledgeable members of the museum's living history detachment!  Early bird admission available for those who want to avoid long lines to get in vehicles.  Otherwise, the event is free!  Water, concessions, and souvenirs concessions will be available. Battleground 1863 Civil War Living History Program: Learn how Civil War soldiers and civilians lived, ate, camped, marched, drill and fought. Artillery and Small Arms weapons firing demonstrations, battle reenactment, civilian camps. Living history camps open 9 to 4 each day, Reenactment starts at 1:30 each day and lasts until 2:45 pm. Free and Open to the Public. Rain or Shine. Bleacher Seating. Souvenirs Available. Drummer Boy Ice Cream on hand with snacks.
